Workshop 2015 has ended

While SCHED doesn’t reserve your seat in sessions, it enables you to preview the three-day agenda and plan the schedule of events that you wish to attend during Workshop. You can print your schedule and carry it with you. Alternatively the site can be viewed on Blackberry, iPhone, and Android platforms, so attendees with those devices can easily see where they are supposed to be or what is happening right on a mobile device.

Solar School at Zero Cost

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Session participants will learn about the process used to install a solar array and the first battery backup storage system in the state of New Jersey. The battery backup automatically powers up when the local power grid shuts down, and the solar array and batteries can adequately power critical areas of the school without the need for a costly generator project. The system provides a green energy source and alleviates the need to pass on costs to local taxpayers, while saving dollars on overall energy purchase costs. The system is a win-win solution for the students, the district, and the taxpayers. Topics reviewed during this program will include the engineering and the legal/Request for Proposal process, sample contract documents and projected costs and savings.
