Workshop 2015 has ended

While SCHED doesn’t reserve your seat in sessions, it enables you to preview the three-day agenda and plan the schedule of events that you wish to attend during Workshop. You can print your schedule and carry it with you. Alternatively the site can be viewed on Blackberry, iPhone, and Android platforms, so attendees with those devices can easily see where they are supposed to be or what is happening right on a mobile device.

Religion and Public Schools - When Tolerance Becomes Too Much

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This Learning Lab will address the new challenges that school districts face relating to religion and religious tolerance – from what holidays should be included in your school’s calendar and what prayer accommodation must be made during the school day to whether or not Halloween costumes are the “mark of the devil” and whether you need to feed your students specialized meals. The presenters will discuss the changes in law from the Establishment Clause to the Lemon Test to student prayer cases and beyond.
